ABU DHABI, 12 SEPTEMBER/WAM/ The Arab Cycling Federation decided to approve the holding of the Arab Mountain Bike Championship in Tunisia from October 27 to November 1, the Arab Track Championship in Egypt from November 25 to 28, and the Arab “Road Bike” Championship in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from December 15 to 23.
The Federation’s Board of Directors, headed by Sheikh Faisal bin Humaid Al Qasimi, was briefed during the meeting held remotely, in the presence of representatives and members, of the items on the agenda.
Counselor Ismail Salem Al Hosani, Secretary-General of the Federation, stressed the Board of Directors’ keenness on all development requirements to advance cycling in the Arab world, in cooperation with all national federations, to ensure the achievement of future and strategic goals.
He said that the postponement of the Arab Road Championship in Saudi Arabia was necessitated by many fundamental reasons, to achieve the highest participation rate of Arab teams in the championship with its new timing instead of this month of September, in addition to strengthening the tracks designated for the race, thanks to the great efforts of those in charge of technical and logistical matters in the Saudi Cycling Federation. .
