Saudi Aramco recorded an attributable net profit of 105,387 million dollars (95,351 million euros) in 2021, which represents an improvement of 114% compared to the profits of the Saudi state oil company in the previous year as a result of the rise in oil prices. crude oil and the increase in the margins of the chemical business, informed the company, which intends to increase its oil and gas production capacity.

In this way, the Saudi oil company has declared that it will allocate 75,000 million dollars (67,857 million euros) to dividends, including the payment of 18,800 million dollars (17,009 million euros) corresponding to the fourth quarter dividend.

Aramco’s turnover for the whole of last year reached 400,468 million dollars (362,331 million euros), 74.2% above the revenue recorded by the company a year earlier, while the operating costs of the company increased by 52%, to 194,624 million dollars (176,090 million euros).

Looking ahead to this year, the oil company has substantially increased its capital expenditure forecast, which it estimates to be in a range of between 40,000 and 50,000 million dollars (36,190 and 45,238 million euros).

In this regard, Aramco announced its intention to boost its maximum sustainable crude oil capacity to 13 million barrels per day (mb/d) by 2027, and potentially increase its gas production by more than 50% by 2030.

Also, in its refining business, the company plans to expand its liquids-to-chemicals capacity by up to 4 mb/d, while also intending to develop significant hydrogen export capacity and become a world leader in hydrogen capture and storage. carbon (CCS).

“Although economic conditions have improved considerably, the outlook remains uncertain due to various macroeconomic and geopolitical factors,” Aramco chairman and CEO Amin H. Nasser said.

“Our investment plan aims to take advantage of the growing long-term demand for reliable, affordable and increasingly secure and sustainable energy,” he added.
