Arber Xhekaj is a popular player among Montreal Canadiens fans.
We all fell in love with him because of his background and because of his personality. The fact that he is not afraid to throw down the gloves to defend his teammates also has a role to play in all of this, but hey.
Fans of the young man will also be delighted to learn that Arber Xhekaj will become next week the new ambassador of “La Chambre”, a Quebec restaurant chain.
The official announcement has not been made yet, but a new burger “The Sheriff” will be created in his name, as we can see in the following YouTube ad:
Tell me about a good timing. After all, earlier this week, Xhekaj held his own against Ryan Reaves on the ice in a fight.
The CH player can also say thank you to Georges Laraque for his lessons.
It really is cool for real, because we even hear Arber say a few words in French in the ad.
It makes me hungry, all that. Eh eh.
More seriously, we have seen several Canadiens players team up with McDonald’s in recent years (Alex Galchenyuk, Brendan Gallagher, Jeff Petry and so on)… And I think it’s nice to see a guy team up to a Quebec brand.
It deserves to be underlined, at least.
The “La Chambre” restaurant chain is almost ten years old (a small 30-seat bistro opened in Vieux-Terrebonne in January 2014) and since then, four other restaurants have been inaugurated (Trois-Rivières, Repentigny, Saint- Eustache and Blainville).
I can’t wait to try this burger. And my little finger tells me that it could be all the rage in the different branches of the restaurant…
On the other side of the coin, it is still risky for “La Chambre” to associate itself with a fighter like him given that the subject of fighting has raged in Quebec in the last year ( remember that battles are now prohibited in the QMJHL).

However, we agree that the publicity would have been a little less special if he were still in the American League today…
