The Azzurra, for their part, also finished with the same number of points, wins and losses, but ended up occupying fourth place in the standings. The Europeans are a world power, since four World Championships (1990, 1994, 1998 and 2022) and eight World Leagues (1990, 1991, 1992, 1994, 1995, 1997, 1999 and 2000) stand out within their record. . He also won three Olympic silver medals (Atlanta 1996, Athens 2004 and Rio 2016) and three bronze (Los Angeles 1984, Sydney 2000 and London 2012).
The VNL 2023 podium was completed by the United States, Japan and Poland.
