Argentines Voting in Rome and Milan
The elections for Argentine citizens residing abroad began this Sunday in Wellington, the capital of New Zealand, and in Sydney, one of the most important cities in Australia. According to the information provided this Sunday by the national Foreign Ministry, the vote is advancing at a steady pace in the national consulates and embassies of different countries.
“Argentinians are already voting in Wellington, New Zealand,” reported the portfolio led by Santiago Cafiero on its Twitter social network account.
A few hours later, they highlighted that the election is also taking place in China, South Korea, Indonesia, India and Spain, among other countries.

According to the information provided by the National Electoral Chamber (CNE), 451,200 Argentines residing abroad are authorized to vote at 302 tables in 137 diplomatic and consular representations of 86 countries to elect president and vice president of the Republic, in addition to 24 representatives for the Senate, 130 for the Chamber of Deputies and 43 for Parlasur.
The countries with the highest number of Argentines are the United States (90,382) and Spain (85,388), followed by Brazil (20,530), Uruguay (18,149), Paraguay (17,783) and Italy (17,356).

Their right to vote extends only to national positions, therefore, they cannot elect provincial or municipal representatives from their places of residence abroad. In the case of national deputies and senators, they elect the representatives of the province where their last domicile in Argentina is located.
Argentine citizens who modified their DNI before April 25 and who are registered in the registry of Argentines abroad are authorized to vote. The right to cast a vote extends to the constituency corresponding to your place of residence abroad.
