Armed group “raises” journalist’s son in Culiacán

CULIACAN.- David Eduardo Martinezson of the red note journalist Ernesto Martínez Cervanteswas deprived of his freedom by armed people, in Prados del Sur.

His family shared his photograph on social networks and asked the public that if they have information about his whereabouts, they report it to the emergency lines.

So far, no details have been revealed about his whereabouts. nor that of the two young people who accompanied him (identified as Antonio Guadalupe Bojorquez Payán y Ezequiel Alejandro Jasso) at the time of the incident.

Ernesto Martínez, with a long career as a journalist on security issues, was part of the team of The New York Times newspaper, working on the 20-episode series of its weekly television program about “El Culiacanazo.”

The reporter was awarded the Emmy Award, awarded by the United States National Academy of Television and Sciences, for his news coverage of “Black Thursday” in Culiacán.
