An armed man committed a robbery at the Carrefour de Maasmechelen on Friday evening around 6 p.m. The man threatened the cashier and a saleswoman with a weapon before fleeing. Still in shock, the cashier told HBVL: “The thief once aimed his weapon at me”.
An investigation has been opened. The suspect is a burly man of regarding 45 years old. He was dressed in black. “The attacker visited the store several times. There are cameras everywhere here. Maybe he will be recognized and caught quickly, ”says a staff member.
