Arrest of Foreigners Using Fake Fingerprints: Kuwait’s Criminal Investigation Department Takes Action

Foreigners who forged fingerprints through medical surgery were arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department in Kuwait. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, those who entered the country by undergoing illegal fingerprint surgery were arrested.

The surgery was performed by cutting away the top layer of the fingertip, removing a portion of the tissue and re-stitching it to change the fingerprint patterns. Earlier, those deported from Kuwait underwent fingerprint surgery to re-enter the country.

Fingerprint verification is currently mandatory for those entering Kuwait. The arrested accused have been handed over to the concerned authorities. The police is conducting a detailed investigation into the incident
