Alappuzha: The police said that the person who molested a minor girl in Alappuzha’s Arthungal is a native of Bangladesh. Ariful Islam (26) alias Shamim of Pirojpur district of Bangladesh was arrested. He arrived in India last June without a passport or visa. The accused was found to be a native of Bangladesh during the mobile phone investigation.
On August 23, while he was collecting acreage, he broke into the house and molested the girl who was alone in the house. Arthunkal police arrested the accused and remanded him on the same day as the case was registered. It was found that the accused is a native of Bangladesh following he was taken into custody for further investigation on September 6.
