SYRIZA MEP Kostas Arvanitis revealed that he drafted the European Parliament’s resolution on the rule of law, speaking on OPEN TV this morning. Mr. Arvanitis, in a dialogue he had with ND MP Thanos Plevris, also emphasized that he “substantially contributed” to the drafting of Article 27, which refers to a possible suspension of funds from the EU for Greece.
“If we didn’t have the resolution of the European Parliament, what they were shouting at the government about how it is possible and we voted for it, I inform them that we already wrote it,” said the MEP characteristically.
In fact, as he clarified, he wrote the last article, while separating his position by saying that he personally participated in the process. “No MEPs, The MEP, I wrote it, he said.
