A group of at least three people were captured assaulting some students from the Faculty of Medicine of the Meritorious Autonomous University of Puebla (BUAP), on 31 West and 13 South, in the city of Puebla.
In the video that circulates on social networks, shared on Twitter by Carlos Martin Huerta, you can see the way in which some subjects dressed in black assault a couple of students, next to a public transport unit, in the middle of vehicular traffic. .
The student tries to struggle with one of the alleged assailants, who ends up stripping him of his belongings.
Finally, the group disperses and the alleged criminals walk in a different direction, without any motorist or pedestrian intervening.
It transpired that it was recently detected that BUAP Medicine students are victims of crime that operates in the vicinity of the faculty.
Students have been robbed of cash and valuables.
According to some members of the student community, only this week there have been three assaults, in which, according to the descriptions, the same people have taken part.
They point out that the group of assailants would be made up of three men and one woman.
Other versions indicate that the assailants select their victims on board public transport and when they get off they strip them of their valuables and cell phones.
The assaults have been registered during the morning, when there is greater movement of people both on foot and on public transport.
The members of the student community agreed to ask the authority for greater surveillance in the area.
Given the dissemination of information, the reaction on social networks was diverse.
In principle, the Secretary of Citizen Security (SSC) of the municipality of Puebla, pointed out: “we give notice to the units to reinforce security in the area.”
@AidaAldaraca suggested: “they should also ask the university to support them. UPAEP students should also get together so that both universities together with the State Police give them greater security. That the area of Santiago and surroundings is a nest of rats. Greetings”.
On Facebook, Luzz Salass expressed: “How impotent, poor boys, as if they will carry a lot of money, some perhaps only carry their tickets and their food. Hopefully the authorities attend to these events and support them with vigilance and thus in the schools where the same thing happens, thank God they were not hurt.”
