Asteroid could hit Earth in July 2023 – Science

The recently discovered asteroid “2022 AE1” is currently classified by NASA as the most dangerous object for Earth.

Is life on earth in danger? The asteroid “2022 AE1”, which was only discovered on January 6, 2022, was removed from the danger list of the NASA immediately ranked number 1 – by no other near-Earth celestial bodies was such a high risk. The reason: It might hit Earth for the first time as early as July 2023.

This is how the ESA wants to protect us from asteroids >>>

According to NASA, the asteroid is regarding 70 meters in diameter, large enough to safely earth atmosphere to happen. The Brazilian portal Olhar Digital calculated that it would then hit with an energy equivalent to the explosion of 21.5 million tons of dynamite. However, even if the impact did happen, it would be most likely to occur in the expanse of sea that covers nearly 70 percent of the Earth’s surface.

The dates calculated for this are July 4, 2023, American Independence Day or the year 2028.

At the top of the list

But at the same time, the space researchers are giving the all-clear regarding such things Apocalypse-Scenarios: Because although “2022 AE1” is at the top of the list at level 1 of the Torino scale, there are 10 levels in total. All other celestial bodies are only at level 0 because they are even less likely to collide with us.

NASA itself assumes that “2022 AE1” will fly past Earth. Current calculations show that the probability of a collision is extremely unlikely and there is no cause for public attention or concern.
