The Aston Martin F1 Team has announced that Lance Stroll will miss this week’s pre-season testing at the Bahrain International Circuit following a training accident. Lance Stroll was involved in a “minor” accident and will miss the three-day session from 23-25 February.
The Aston Martin F1 team added that it hoped Land Stroll would make a “rapid recovery” and return to driving duties in stages, while assessing his fitness daily. The update will be announced before the F1 Bahrain GP, which will be held from March 3rd to 5th. It is unclear whether the Aston Martin F1 team will use reserve drivers Stoffel Vandoorne or Felipe Dolgovic, or whether Fernando Alonso will complete testing in Lance Stroll’s absence. “I had an unfortunate accident while training on my bike to prepare for the season,” Stroll said in a press release issued by Aston Martin on Monday afternoon. “I am determined to get back on the bike and am excited about the season ahead with the team.
