Kuwait City | Famous Kuwaiti astronomer Dr. Salih Al Ujairi has passed away. He was 102 years old. Salih Al Ujairi was born on June 23, 1920 in Sharq, Kuwait. He has authored several books on astronomy for the Arab world.
He was behind the creation of the Ujairi Calendar, which was officially approved by the State of Kuwait for all its official transactions. He was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Kuwait in 1981 and 1988.
