The ASUS Zenbook 14 UX3480QA, a 2.87-pound laptop powered by the Snapdragon X processor, is now available at Best Buy in the United States. This ultraportable machine features an OLED display and claims up to 18 hours of battery life, positioning it as a direct competitor in the growing Copilot+ PC market.
Snapdragon X Hardware and Copilot+ Integration
The device relies on the Snapdragon X platform, which includes a neural processing unit (NPU) capable of 45 TOPS. This hardware allows the laptop to meet Microsoft’s requirements for the Copilot+ PC designation, enabling local execution of AI-driven search, organization, and data processing tasks. ASUS has updated the internal thermal management system, incorporating a larger fan and redesigned airflow channels to maintain performance and silence during heavy workloads. Users can choose between configurations with 8 GB or 16 GB of memory, though the 8 GB model may face limitations with intensive multitasking or local AI feature usage.
All-Metal Chassis Uses Ceraluminum for Durability
ASUS constructed the UX3480QA with an all-metal chassis, utilizing a material the company calls Ceraluminum for the lid. This proprietary material is designed to provide a ceramic-like feel while increasing resistance to scratches, fingerprints, and daily wear. The laptop maintains a weight of approximately 1.30 kilograms, or 2.87 pounds, emphasizing its portability. Connectivity includes USB-C, USB Type-A, HDMI, and a combined audio jack. The included compact USB-C charger is designed to be cross-compatible with other mobile devices.
OLED Screen Features Dolby Atmos Audio
The visual experience is anchored by an OLED screen in a 16:10 aspect ratio, which covers up to 89 percent of the device’s surface area. Audio output is handled by a dual-speaker system with Dolby Atmos support. For remote collaboration, the integrated webcam utilizes Windows Studio Effects, which are accelerated by the onboard AI processing. Security is managed through Windows Hello facial authentication and the Microsoft Pluton security processor.
Google AI Pro Subscription Accompanies Zenbook 14
Purchasers of the Zenbook 14 UX3480QA are eligible for a three-month subscription to Google AI Pro, which must be activated through the MyASUS application. This offer includes expanded access to Gemini models, increased usage limits for Google’s AI tools, and 5 terabytes of cloud storage. While the Snapdragon-based version is currently on sale for a starting price of 799.99 dollars, ASUS has confirmed that a separate model, the UX3480AA, will launch in early the fourth quarter of 2026. That upcoming version will be powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processor, with pricing and specific hardware details to be announced at a later date.
