Union College has officially unveiled its 2026-27 promotional schedule for men’s and women’s hockey, featuring a blend of community-focused events, awareness initiatives, and fan giveaways. The slate of events spans from October through February, offering various engagement opportunities for supporters of both programs.
What are the season highlights for fans?
The schedule includes several high-profile giveaways and fan-favorite events. On November 6, the women’s team will host a koozie giveaway during their game against St. Lawrence. The men’s team will hold a Teddy Bear Toss during their December 5 matchup against Harvard. The first 1,000 fans to attend the men’s game on January 29 against St. Lawrence will receive a Shayne Gostisbehere bobblehead.
How can children participate in game-day activities?
Young fans in fifth grade and younger are eligible to join the free Women’s Hockey Kids Club. Membership provides free admission to all regular-season women’s home games. The club also hosts several exclusive events throughout the season, including a postgame trick-or-treat on October 24, poster decorating on November 7, holiday arts and crafts on November 22, and a friendship bracelet event on January 2.
Which special recognition games are scheduled?
Both programs will host recurring events throughout the season, such as military appreciation days, youth sports days, and faculty and staff appreciation games. Awareness initiatives are also prominent, with domestic violence awareness games scheduled for October 16 and October 23, and a breast cancer awareness game set for October 24.
