Upper Austria’s State Councilor for Social Affairs, Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer (VP), made his demand to make community service mandatory for asylum seekers two weeks ago via OÖN. At today’s conference of state refugee representatives in Carinthia, Hattmannsdorfer is submitting a motion asking Interior Minister Gerhard Karner (VP) to examine the legal framework for such an obligation.
