He did not give an official reason for his decision, but the health workers at the institution he runs allegedly received a reduced salary in February.

Zoltán Nagy, the director general of the Imre Magyar Hospital in Ajka, has returned his mandate as director-general with immediate effect, writes the Lip Word.

In response to the newspaper’s inquiry, Nagy stated that he had submitted his resignation as director-general “without justification, on the basis of an individual decision”, but that he would continue to work as a doctor at the Ajka hospital.

The RTL News reported on Tuesday that the workers of the Ajka hospital received less wages in February. Part of the reason for this was that the workers did not receive specialist support.

According to the regional delegate of the Hungarian Medical Chamber, there will also be skilled workers whose salary will decrease despite the March wage increase, even though this should not happen according to the Ministry of the Interior.
