Former First Lady of Côte d’Ivoire, Simone Gbagbo, Expresses Condolences to King Mohammed VI and Victims of Morocco Earthquake

The former First Lady of Côte d’Ivoire, Simone Ehivet Gbagbo, sent her condolences to King Mohammed VI and all the bereaved families in a note.

“Faced with this catastrophe, I would like, in my personal name and in the name of my party, the Movement of Capable Generations (MGC, opposition), to bow to the memory of all the missing and wish a speedy recovery to all the injured” , said Ms. Simone Gbagbo.

The president of the Movement of Capable Generations, Simone Ehivet, then expressed her condolences and compassion to King Mohammed VI and all the families bereaved by this “terrible earthquake”.

The Kingdom of Morocco suffered an earthquake on the night of Friday 08 to Saturday 09 September 2023. This earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale, whose epicenter is in the southwest of the country, caused the death of more than 2,700 people and enormous material damage.
