According to TASSthe Australian Tennis Federation (Tennis Australia) officially banned fans from bringing Russian and Belarusian flags to the stands due to complaints from Ukrainian spectators.
“Initially our policy was that fans could bring them [флаги России и Белоруссии], but they were forbidden to wave them around to interfere with other spectators. From today, the Russian and Belarusian flags will be completely banned from the Australian Open, and <…> this decision is effective immediately,” Tennis Australia said in a statement.
