At the IFA 2023, Midea is presenting the world's first dishwasher with a Matter connection

Berlin (ots/PRNewswire) – After Midea was one of the first companies to Matter certification for an air conditioner received and one air purifier associated with Matter unveiled, the company demonstrates its ongoing commitment to a consistent industry standard by unveiling the Dishwasher connected to Matter at the IFA 2023. The world’s largest trade fair for household appliances, the IFA, will take place this year from September 1st to 5th in Berlin.

Matter is the basis for networked things. This cross-industry uniform standard promises reliable, secure connectivity – a seal of approval that devices work together seamlessly – today and tomorrow -, guided by the Connectivity Standards Alliance („die Alliance”)whose members from different industries come together to change the future of connectivity.

Even without Matter, Midea’s latest dishwasher already has a number of smart features to make life easier. It enables remote control via the app, allowing the user to operate the dishwasher from anywhere. In addition, timely notifications are sent directly to mobile devices to remind users to clean the dishwasher.

With Matter, Midea’s dishwasher now offers a quick and safe setup, the process of which is consistent for users everywhere, whether it’s the dishwasher, a lightbulb or a door lock. Once set up, the dishwasher can be seamlessly connected to other Matter-compatible appliances throughout the home, regardless of their brand.

With the upcoming release of Matter version 1.20 in late September or early October, Midea’s Matter-connected dishwashers are expected to be among the first industry-leading brands to offer services to consumers.
