The 4th season of Donald Glover’s series “Atlanta” will start this fall – at least in the USA. This is announced by the first teaser for the last season of the clever and artful dramedy. The surreal-looking announcement clip is peppered with a few references to previous episodes. That’s how coconut crunchos fall from the sky outside the gates of the liquor store from the very first episode. Those fictional breakfast cereals that had a funny animated commercial in Season 1. Or the whimsical Teddy Perkins’ piano that Darius wants to pick up in season 2. Also on display is club owner Marcus Miles’ invisible car, Uncle Willy’s Alligator and much more. The whole thing is musically accompanied by “Bitter Streets” by the British band Sault. Really awesome.
“Atlanta” season 4 starts in September on the US streaming service Hulu. A German start date has not yet been set.
