Atos releases ballast to avoid the crash. The French IT group confirms, on Tuesday, its plan to sell its historic outsourcing activities to Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky, valued at 2 billion euros, and its restructuring around the activities of its subsidiary Eviden, whose name it will take.

In total, the operation will have “a net positive impact” on the group’s cash flow of 100 million euros, Atos said in a press release. Still subject to shareholder approval at a future extraordinary general meeting, the transaction “is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2023 or the first quarter of 2024”.
