In the “modern crocodiles” match, it was the Australian Alex de Minaur who managed to lift the trophy in Atlanta. He dominated in two sets the American Brooksby (6–3, 6–3).
Solid in his field, very focused, Alex has therefore conquered his 6th career title. This success allows him to grab the 20th place in the ATP rankings.
Without making him a real outsider for the US Open, we will have to closely monitor the Australian’s performance because cement clearly remains his favorite surface.
