Palakkad: Police have taken into custody a former CPM branch secretary who was absconding in a case of installing a mobile camera in the bathroom of a party worker’s house. Kodumba Ambalapparambu branch secretary Shahjahan (38) was taken into custody by the Town South police from Tamil Nadu. The police have registered a case against the accused under non-bailable sections. Shah Jahan was suspended from the party’s primary membership after the incident.
The last ten were a case in point. Police had deployed a special team to find the drowning culprit after the incident. Subsequent investigations revealed that the accused had entered Tamil Nadu. The CI was then taken into custody under the leadership of Shiju Abraham.
Defendant escaped when he heard a commotion in the housewife’s bathroom window. His mobile phone fell to the ground while running. When the phone was checked, it was identified as belonging to Shah Jahan. The housewife lodged a complaint with the police along with her mobile phone. The accused went into hiding after the incident became controversial.
