In a broadcast interview in December 2021, CEO Lee is accused of spreading false information by saying, “I did not know the late Director Kim Moon-ki of the Seongnam Urban Development Corporation, who was in charge of the development of Daejang-dong, during the mayor.”
In addition, in October of the same year, during the parliamentary audit, the statement that ″the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs requested a change of use of the site in Baekhyun-dong″ is also expected to be disputed in court.
Of the two remarks, the court has decided to proceed with the hearing first on the statement, “I did not know the late Director Kim Moon-ki.”
Prosecutors claim that CEO Lee knew Kim before he served as mayor, and after becoming mayor, he received reports on Daejang-dong projects or accompanied him on overseas business trips.
In today’s trial, an investigation is being conducted on various evidence submitted by the prosecution to the court saying that it can prove the charges.
The representative denies the allegations.
At the first trial on the 3rd, CEO Lee said, “I can’t say I’ve seen it a few times, but I can’t say it’s someone I know.”
