The Oval: World Test Championship title for Australia. Chasing a target of 444 runs, India’s innings ended at 234 runs. Aussies won the match by scoring 469 runs in the first innings. The battered Indian batting line-up was not able to produce a significant performance in the reply batting. In the second innings, the Aussies overcame the challenge of the Indian bowlers and set a great target. Cricket experts are of the opinion that after two months of IPL, India did not seek adequate training in red ball cricket. The pitch in favor of pace bowling at the Oval also dimmed India’s chances.
