Austropop Artist “Wuiferl Ambros” Releases Highly Anticipated Follow-Up Album – “Logically No 2 – A Great Time”

Two years have passed since the publication of his first work “Des bin i”, on which he processed personal relationship experiences with his guitar in the songs in the best Austropop manner and with which the 58-year-old fulfilled his personal lifelong dream. The title of the follow-up work is “logically No 2, because firstly it’s true and secondly I couldn’t think of a better one,” he explains to NÖN in his typical way and with a wink.

“A great time” as a masterpiece

However, the style of music has also changed a bit: “The songs are still about personal experiences, but they are now upbeat and rockier. That goes down better with the audience,” says Faist. The new CD contains nine tracks, and the musician describes his song “A geile Zeit” as a personal masterpiece: “The number is about the Corona years, which actually brought a lot of suffering to many people. Luckily for me they did the opposite. I had a lot of time to deepen my musical knowledge and to develop, which has brought me a lot!” The song has performed outstandingly so far – “people go crazy when they hear it, I’m happy about that!”

But the number “Skifoarn & Musi”, which is available twice on the CD in a normal and a hut version, creates the right atmosphere: “The people are dancing on the tables!” Faist is also proud of a work that was thought lost , which he recorded together with Willi Spanblöchl in 1986. “Krumpendorf” is the name of the song rediscovered on an old tape, which tells a very personal story about the artist.

Also new is that the “Muski Bua” is now performing with a band. His brother Karl on bass, Markus Pichler on trombone, Peter Url on flute and Tina Woltron on Styrian are also there. 1,000 pieces were pressed, and 5,000 euros from private funds were put into the project, which also primarily serves a social purpose.

“Don’t want to be rich or famous!”

“I don’t want to be rich or famous, I just want to have fun with music,” says Faist, who has recently been able to enjoy more live performances. If you want to convince yourself of the songs and their energy, you can do so at the CD presentation on September 1st at 7.30 p.m. with free admission in the Wimpassinger Kulturcentrum. The new work can also be purchased there for a free donation.

As always, the proceeds benefit the St. Anna Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Cancer Aid. “Winni” Faist has already been able to donate 4,000 euros with his first CD. Hats off to the man in the hat, in the truest sense of the word, because the red “Tshako” on stage is also the trademark of “Wuiferl Ambros” from the Schwarzatal.
