Last week, what we’ve been waiting for so long finally happened: There is again a discount on Travelpro suitcases There was finally another offer that you can’t just snap at could, but almost had to. Business class flights to the USA could be booked for prices starting at €480. The latter is still possible, but it costs €2,000 – you can even get to Hawaii for that.
There are also attractive offers on the rails. Whether Lorelei or Long Beach, you can currently make bargains worldwide. We usually hide the expired offers at the very end of the week recap. We’re making an exception here because it’s not just the best deal in weeks, it’s in months. On Tuesday morning there were countless business class routes to North America for around €500.
To give you an idea of the possibilities: while many a colleague giggled through the offers like a kid in a candy store, I found the €750 tickets from Paris to New York too expensive and the €620 tickets from Budapest to Miami too inconveniently located. And when I finally wanted to go from Dublin to Newark for €480, BA had switched off the payment mask…
For €2,000 in Business Class to Hawaii
However, one offer in Oneworld Business Class is still available: British Airways and American Airlines are currently taking you to the land of volcanoes, bast skirts and hula dancers for just under €2,000. Unfortunately, it only goes as far as Phoenix, Los Angeles or Seattle in a lounge chair. From there, it often continues in machines that have First Class installed for domestic traffic. Despite the name, this – and this cannot be stressed enough – is not a better alternative to Business. The offer was even available during the week for €500 less and better travel period from Prague.

Etihad Business Class to Australia
If the flights to Hawaii are too short, prefer to lie the entire way or (there should also be one) don’t want to go to Honolulu at all, you can spend a similar amount of time in the air for €500 more. Etihad is currently offering discounted premium tickets to Australia. If you own an American Express, you can even get a discount.

See more and pay less with SBB trains
As part of the big discount price campaign, it is currently possible to drive a Eurocity across Germany in the panorama car of the Swiss Federal Railways – for the sensationally low price of €32. Especially the route on the left bank of the Rhine between Koblenz and Mainz is a real experience thanks to the huge windows. However, the price is also not bad for just getting from A to B.

On the rails through America
If the offer to see the prettiest parts of Rhineland-Palatinate is not enough to get on a train: how about all of America? the Amtrak Rail Pass allows you to take 10 free rides on trains of your choice over a 30-day period while exploring all rail-connected states (bad news for fans of Wyoming, South Dakota, and Idaho). The pass is currently heavily discounted for €279. A rare chance for a unique experience.

Canary Islands and West Africa cruise with Vasco da Gama
Don’t worry: no Portuguese navigators have been resurrected for this offer. In this case, the Vasco da Gama is an older cruise ship that has been lovingly restored and is now on the road for a German shipping company. The smallest booths start at 16m², offering slightly more space than the industry average of just under 14m². But that’s not the only thing that convinces with this offer: The route includes all the Canary Islands (except El Hierro), the Cape Verde Islands and also takes you to Morocco and Banjul at the mouth of the Gambia.
