Back 4 Blood: Shooter breaks milestone, first expansion in April

Back 4 Blood has been available since October last year – and the shooter hasn’t disappointed the makers so far. The number of players has reached a new milestone and the first expansion is also just around the corner.

Turtle Rock Studios has now confirmed that more than 10 million players have joined since the release last fall Back 4 Blood grabbed. According to the developer’s taste, this milestone was reached quite quickly – and that should be celebrated accordingly: With “Tunnels of Terror” the first major DLC has now been announced.

The additional content should be available from April 12th – in just a few weeks. The DLC is part of the Ultimate and the Deluxe Edition as well as in the Annual Pass if you have used one of these distribution models. Incidentally, this can also be purchased independently as soon as it is published.

In the expansion you get a new, cooperative PvE activity with “Ridden Hives”. There are also playable Cleaners and Ridden variants, eight exclusive character, seven legendary and 12 regular weapon skins and more.

In “Ridden Hives” teams of up to four players can compete together and explore seven different dungeons full of tunnels; these lie in the depths of Evansburgh, where a new Ridden variant called Warped Ridden is spreading. Those who defeat the new Warped Ridden can earn exclusive loot and rewards. The new Warped Ridden variants can also be played in PvP Swarm mode. Meanwhile, the two new cleaners are Sharice and Heng.

Accompanying the DLC will also be a game update introducing No Hope difficulty. This is an especially big challenge for elite players. However, all the content of the DLC package itself can be played, even if only one player in a group owns the expansion.
