Sosok.ID – Again trademark Geprek Bensu owned by Ruben Onsu at issue.
Recently, Benny Sujono as owner trademark I Am Geprek Bensu sue IDR 100 billion on Sarwendah’s husband.
Dispute trademark itself once made a scene in 2020.
Where at that time the dispute was won by Benny Sujono.
Despite winning the dispute, oddly enough, the Directorate of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia actually deleted Benny Sujono’s I Am Geprek Bensu trademark.
It is known, Benny Sujono himself had worked with Ruben Onsu in the geprek chicken business.
However, the two later broke up.
Now, the two are back in a trademark dispute.
After Benny Sujono as the owner of the I Am Geprek Bensu trademark filed a lawsuit to the Central Jakarta Commercial Court.
Launching from TribunJatim.com, the lawsuit was registered on Wednesday (23/3/2022) with case number 32/Pdt.Sus-HKI/Merek/2022/PN Niaga Jkt.Pst.
There are two defendants in this lawsuit.
Defendant I is Ruben Onsu while Defendant II is the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
In his lawsuit, the owner of PT Ayam Geprek Benny Sujono demanded that Defendant I pay compensation of Rp. 100 billion.
Not only that, he also asked the court to cancel the Geprek Bensu trademark belonging to Ruben Onsu because it has complete similarities with I Am Geprek Bensu.
His party also asked the court to stop Ruben Onsu’s activities related to Geprek Bensu.
In fact, he demanded that Geprek Bensu stop its production.
Regarding the lawsuit, Minola Sebayang as Ruben Onsu’s attorney admitted that he had not been able to issue any statements.
“For the past, it’s over.”
“But regarding this new lawsuit there has been no discussion with Ruben.”
“So I also can’t say anything,” said Minola Sebayang, quoting Kompas.com, Friday (15/4/2022).
On the other hand, Ruben Onsu himself seemed to have cut off the phone when he was contacted by Kompas.com to ask questions about the lawsuit.
As if he was not bothered by the lawsuit, Ruben Onsu himself continued to run his Geprek Bensu business as usual.
In fact, he looked relaxed celebrating Geprek Bensu’s 5th anniversary.
