The head of the Syndicate of Arab Bakeries and Ovens in Beirut and Mount Lebanon, Nasser Sorour, called for giving the bakeries their lack of flour in Beirut, Mount Lebanon and the southern suburbs, so that the queues that took place last Saturday and Sunday would not be repeated.
He hoped that the flour schedule, which will be issued next Friday, would take into account the demands of the union, so that cooperation would remain in place and the loaf would remain secure without humiliating people in the lines of humiliation.
Sorour also asked those concerned and officials, “led by caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati and the Governor of the Banque du Liban, Riad Salameh, about their role” in protecting the lira, which is collapsing day after day, and about their curbing the madness of the dollar, which destroyed all the elements of steadfastness for individuals, institutions and companies, and held them “responsible for the collapse.” The outcome,” and asked them to put in place “an honest and clear plan that stops the game of stealing people’s money at every rise and fall of the dollar exchange rate.”
He considered that “unknown parties are pressuring the street to launch a revolution similar to the October 17 revolution.”
