«Baladi Sharjah» discusses projects with Public Works

The Planning and Development Committee of the Sharjah Municipal Council discussed, with a number of concerned departments in the Emirate of Sharjah, public works projects and sewage and rain projects.

This came during the meeting held by the committee in the presence of Salem Ali Al Muhairi, Chairman of Sharjah Municipal Council, Salem Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Planning and Development Committee, Dr. Al Hashemi, Director of the Services Department at the Public Works Department, Eng. Abdullah Juma Al Tunaiji, Head of the Follow-up Department at the Public Services Department at the Public Works Department, Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Al Ali, Acting Deputy Director of the Roads Maintenance Department at the Roads and Transport Authority, and from the Initiatives Implementation Authority, Eng. Yusuf Ali Al Ali, and from Sharjah Municipality, Engineer Hassan Al-Tifaq, Assistant Director General for the Agriculture and Environment Sector, Engineer Faisal Al-Mulla, Director of the Agriculture Department, and Engineer Jaafar Ali Jaafar, Director of the Sanitary Department. The municipality reviewed its plan to deal with any gatherings of water when it rains, especially in the main areas of the city of Sharjah, and its entrances. Adopted by the municipality, including the establishment of temporary collection basins to accelerate the drainage of rainwater.

For her part, Eng. Hind Al-Hashemi, Director of Public Services Department at the Public Works Department, reviewed the five-year plans for rainwater drainage, which fall within the master plan for sanitation, surface and irrigation until 2040.
