He still participates in running and orienteering competitions from time to time and has won numerous awards. She studied nursing in college, and after graduation, she entered a public hospital as a nurse. But after less than a year of working, she found that she was not suitable for the life of the hospital, which was full of hustle and bustle and non-stop shifts. .”

She recalled that when she was studying, she actually preferred doing research work rather than being a nurse, hoping to help patients through innovative ideas, so she decided to quit her job and go to the UK to study for a master’s degree in music psychology. Giving up a stable job naturally encountered a lot of opposition: “Many people think that working as a nurse after finishing school is no better than working as a nurse. There are many different opinions, but this is what I want to do, and I must try my best to do it.”
While leaving the hospital and waiting for school, a restless Mandy starts to get bored. In order to train her physical fitness, she decided to find a part-time job that required physical labor. Someone just gave her a bicycle, and she started a new job—a career as a delivery man! Mandy is not limited by her high education, but enjoys working as a delivery worker: “It seems to be playing orientation, you need to find the route in the shortest time, and reach the most checkpoints… It’s like a competition, and you will analyze it when you finish work. What I did well and what I didn’t do well.”

Even after graduating with a master’s degree, Mandy returned to Hong Kong to become a researcher at the university’s nursing department. She still did not give up her job as a delivery person and continued to work part-time in her spare time. “Current research work often involves communicating with middle-aged and elderly patients. Being a delivery man gave me a better understanding of the community where they lived, and simple topics made it easier for me to build trust with them, and they were willing to share more things with me.” She even took the motorcycle license test earlier and started to use Motorbike delivery.
Mandy cares more about the balance of life than a high-paying job. “The current job allows me to have time for competitions, training and piano practice. Apart from work, there are many important things in life.”
