In three weeks, around 40,000 Algerians rushed to see ‘Barbie’, according to the online news site 24H Algeria. For others, it is now too late.
The comedy has been banned since last weekend in the country for “attacking morality”, indicates the Algerian media. The Ministry of Culture and the Arts would have asked the cinemas which were planning to deprogram it “immediately” and notified the ban to the local distributor of the film.
