The Board of Directors of Banque Atlantique Senegal, a subsidiary of the BCP group, met on March 11, 2022 under the chairmanship of Mr. Kamal MOKDAD, Managing Director BCP & International. This meeting was an opportunity to ratify the appointment of Mr. Abdelmoumen NAJOUA as Managing Director of Banque Atlantique Senegal, replacing Mrs. Alexandra AWADI who wanted to take up new challenges after 16 years with the Bank. Mr. Pathé MBENGUE was also appointed Deputy Managing Director.
The announcement of these appointments was made during a ceremony held on Tuesday March 15, 2022 in Dakar, in the presence of several distinguished guests, including MM. Abdou Karim FOFANA, Minister of Emerging Senegal Planning, Babacar CISSÉ, Director of Public Debt, Abdeslam BENNANI, DGA in charge of International Banking within the BCP group and Habib KONÉ, Managing Director of Atlantic Business International.
During the ceremony, Mr. Abdelsalem BENNANI reaffirmed BCP’s strategic ambitions for Banque Atlantique Senegal as well as the Group’s desire to further contribute to the financing and development of the country’s industrial fabric. “I would like to congratulate the new management team who will continue to carry the aspirations of the BCP group for Senegal. I wish every success to Messrs. NAJOUA and MBENGUE. I also salute Ms. AWADI for her commitment and loyalty to Banque Atlantique and wish her success in her future challenges,” he added.
Mr. Abdelmoumen NAJOUA, newly appointed Managing Director of Banque Atlantique Senegal to replace Mrs. Alexandra AWADI, has solid experience within the BCP group, which he joined in 1999. He held several positions of responsibility, including those Director of Organization and Operational Marketing Director of Retail Banking, before joining Banque Atlantique Côte d’Ivoire in 2014 as Director of Individual Customers and the Network. He was then appointed Group Retail Director within the Atlantic Business International holding company, CEO of Banque Atlantique Côte d’Ivoire, then CEO of Banque Atlantique Senegal. Mr. NAJOUA holds a degree in Applied Mathematics and an MBA in Finance.
For his part, Mr. Pathé MBENGUE has more than 20 years of experience in the banking sector, including 4 years with BASN, particularly in Corporate Banking and financing activities for large companies. He previously held the positions of Director of Corporate Banking at Banque Atlantique Senegal, then CEO of Banque Atlantique Benin. His in-depth knowledge of the banking sector and Corporate clients represents a real asset for the Group. Mr. Pathé MBENGUE holds a DESS in International Trade & Finance.
