Barcelona allocates 80 million euros for the Liverpool defender

Press reports revealed that Barcelona is interested in signing the English international, Trent Alexander-Arnold, one of the stars of the Liverpool team.

Arnold is the most productive player in goals following Mohamed Salah last season in Liverpool, and has been providing excellent levels in recent years.

The British newspaper, “Liverpool Echo”, reported what was reported by “Football Total” that Barcelona is targeting the English player to strengthen its ranks during the current summer transfers.

The English player has a contract with Liverpool that ends at the end of the 2024/2025 season, and Barcelona is seeking to try to lure the Reds with a large financial return.

Barcelona is ready to offer 80 million euros for Arnold’s services, which is a myth for the right-back and may make Liverpool think regarding it.

Arnold was promoted to the Liverpool team under the leadership of Jurgen Klopp and became one of the most important players in the world as a right-back.

The last player to join Barcelona from Liverpool was Philippe Coutinho, following the pair Luis Suarez and before him Javier Mascherano.

For his part, Arnold recently stated that he seeks to continue with Liverpool for as long as possible, and achieve titles in the Reds shirt, which is his childhood club.

Arnold is preparing to lead Liverpool in the opening matches in the English Premier League at Craven Cottage, when he meets the newly promoted Fulham from the Champions League, next Saturday at 1:30 pm Cairo time.
