Microsoft is testing an easy-to-use Game Pass tool on Windows 11

It’s supposed to make it easier Windows 11’s first new tool From Microsoft to discover the games coming to PC Game Pass. The tool is only available to Windows Insiders at the moment and should provide a “window” in the service’s game library, letting you check out recent additions and games coming soon.

Microsoft currently has a fairly limited set of tools in Windows 11, but Game Pass indicates that Microsoft is trying other (not boring) apps like Weather, Calendar, and News.

But adding Game Pass might be a good way to shake up the dashboard for now and might even help promote the subscription service.

In addition to letting you know regarding upcoming games, the new Game Pass displays games from certain categories and provides a portal to the Xbox app.

Microsoft says it’s adding other features to the tool as well, including personalized recommendations and a way to sign in to your Xbox account and play a recently played game.

If you are a Windows 11 tester, you can add Game Pass by opening the widgets panel on your computer and then clicking the plus icon next to your user profile. From there, tap the “plus” icon next to Game Pass, and the widget should appear on your board.
