Baristina, a new groundbreaking espresso machine from Philips, makes real espresso at home easy and more sustainable

The launch of the Philips Baristina sets in motion a new coffee movement. The new espresso machine makes quality coffee with fresh beans simple and accessible to everyone, without complexity. Baristina has also been developed with sustainability in mind – from the materials used to the way of making coffee without complexity.

Real espresso in one simple swipe

Baristina is an innovative espresso machine that allows you to make the perfect espresso or lungo from fresh beans in less than 60 seconds, with one simple ‘swipe’ movement.

The easy-to-use portafilter makes all the hard work a thing of the past. The portafilter automatically swipes back and fills your cup with delicious coffee from fresh beans. When the coffee is ready, simply push the coffee puck out of the portafilter to throw away or recycle for other uses.

Charlotte D’Hoogh, Marketing Manager Espresso at Versuni explains: “The launch of the Baristina starts a new exciting coffee movement. A movement without the complexity and pretension that you see in today’s coffee culture. Instead, you get simplicity and convenience, plus exceptional taste, quality, choice and style. With Baristina you can choose the taste of your coffee based on the beans, without any effort. Whatever your preference – Espresso, Lungo or extra intense – you can easily enjoy barista-quality coffee at home, without complexity.”

Baristina from Philips will come to the Netherlands from June.
