Battersea Power Station reported a lineup of family activities for October half-term, anchored by The Chimney Lift experience 109 meters above London. The seasonal programming features interactive science workshops, landmark challenges, and character meet-and-greets included with standard ticket admission.
Physics Workshops and Landmark Challenges Run Through Early November
- Activities run from late October into early November with no additional booking required beyond a standard Chimney Lift ticket.
- Programming combines hands-on physics workshops by Wild Science with daily character appearances and landmark search challenges.
- Families can participate in the I Spy London Landmarks Challenge to earn daily prizes, including a soft toy reward.
Frightfully Static Workshops at Battersea
Wild Science presents Frightfully Static workshops led by a Nutty Professor during the half-term week. The fast-paced sessions focus on spooky electric science designed for children. Participants can observe hair-raising static effects, floating foil ribbons, and autonomous movement from cutout bats and spiders.
These specialized workshops take place on Tuesday 27th, Wednesday 28th, and Thursday 29th October. Sessions are scheduled at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm on each of those three days.
Children Spot Landmarks for Stamps and Daily Prizes
Children riding the lift can collect an activity sheet and crayons to complete the I Spy London Landmarks Challenge during their visit. Spotting designated structures from 109 meters in the air earns participants a stamp and a sweet treat upon completion. Successful participants are also entered into a daily draw to win a Charlie the Chimney soft toy, with one toy available to win each day.
Ahead of their ascent, visitors can meet Charlie the Chimney for scheduled photo opportunities. The character appears in a custom Halloween outfit on Monday 26th October, Wednesday 28th October, and Sunday 1st November. Photo sessions run at 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, and 2:00 pm on those dates.
