April 15, 2022, 3:00 p.m
Aitrang (dpa / lby) – A 34-year-old is said to have injured a beaver in the Swabian district of Ostallgäu so badly that patrol officers released the rodent. According to an eyewitness, the man hit the animal with a shovel on Friday morning, police said. He then damaged the woman’s house facade in Aitrang with the shovel.
When the officers arrived, the beaver was lying motionless and badly injured on the ground. Because of the torment that the 34-year-old is said to have caused the animal, he is now expected to be reported under the Animal Welfare Act and the Federal Nature Conservation Act, it said. The background to the fact was initially unclear.
