BB.lv: Assassination attempt on Zelensky: US reaction has appeared

The Security Service of Ukraine has exposed a network of agents of the 5th service of the FSB who were preparing the assassination of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky. The group also planned to eliminate the head of the SBU Vasily Malyuk and the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate Kirill Budanov.

The United States of America reacted to this information. In particular, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said during a briefing that this indicates the immorality of the Putin regime.

“Obviously, this only speaks of the immorality that we have seen on the part of the Putin regime since the beginning of this conflict,” he emphasized.

Assassination attempt on Zelensky

On May 7, the Security Service of Ukraine announced the exposure of a network of agents of the 5th service of the FSB, who were planning the assassination of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky. In particular, two colonels of the State Security Service of Ukraine were detained. They leaked secret information from the Russian Federation.

Military expert, Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vladislav Seleznev says that many agents of influence of the Russian Federation are working on the territory of Ukraine. According to him, we must pay tribute to the employees of the SBU, because “in conditions of carefully hidden agents of influence, directly in the UGO, that is, in the structure that is responsible for preserving the life and health of our president, we managed to detect them.”

It is worth noting that this group was preparing an assassination attempt not only on Zelensky, but also on the head of the SBU, Vasily Malyuk, and the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kirill Budanov.
