BB.lv: Musk spoke about the “eternal war” in Ukraine: Zelensky responded

American economist David Sachs assessed the effectiveness of the new US aid package for Ukraine. He shared his thoughts on April 21 on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

“Based on simple math, the new funding bill, widely seen as Ukraine’s bailout, will buy exactly half of the summer counteroffensive,” Sachs wrote.

American billionaire and SpaceX founder Elon Musk responded to this. He predicted an “eternal war” in Ukraine.

“What worries me most is that there is no exit strategy, only an eternal war, where children die in the trenches from artillery or machine guns and snipers, because of minefields,” Musk said in the post.

The adviser to the head of the Presidential Office, Mikhail Podolyak, responded to the entrepreneur’s statement on the same day. According to him, when someone as globally influential as Musk persistently talks regarding the absence of an “exit strategy,” one has to be surprised at the “deficit of simple logic in the modern world.”

“Because a realistic, objective “exit strategy” is blatantly simple. The aggressor (Russian Federation) unconditionally leaves someone else’s sovereign territory and the hot phase of the war immediately stops,” Podolyak emphasized.

He assured that he understands that sometimes “simple truths” are difficult to comprehend. The advisor explained that Russia attacked unprovoked with the intent to occupy, kill and capture. It must leave foreign territory, return what was stolen and restore the rule of international law.

“What’s so difficult regarding this? What other exit strategy should be sought/discussed? And is it possible to build something only on injustice?” Podolyak added.

Let us recall that on April 21, President Vladimir Zelensky said that if the Defense Forces hold Chasov Yar, this will allow the Russian Federation’s plans for a summer offensive to be broken. According to him, the enemy seeks to capture the city before May 9.

The Chairman of the European Committee in the Bundestag, Anton Hofreiter, suggested on April 21 that the new aid package for Ukraine from the United States might be the last.
