Be Charge has just obtained a budget exceeding 100,000 million euros to set up fast charging stations in eight European countries by 2025.

Be Charge, the second largest charging station operator in Italy and belonging to the oil company Eni since 2021, has just obtained financing of more than 100 million euros coming in equal parts from the European Union and the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP), a credit institution 80% owned by the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance. This budget will finance the project to set up in eight European countries by 2025, including Italy, Spain, Austria, Germany, Portugal, Slovenia, Greece and, finally, France.

The aim is to install more than 2,000 fast chargers over the next two years, each with a minimum power of 150 kW and installed along major European transport corridors. “We want to support the rapid deployment of charging infrastructure,” said EU Transport Commissioner Adina Vălean. “Such a large network will further reassure consumers, encourage them to charge their cars throughout the European Union and thus promote electromobility.”
