Beaten during Adnoc Pro League match in UAE; Three players will be suspended and fined

Three players have been suspended in connection with a scuffle on the ground during an Adnoc Pro League match in the UAE. Al Wadh and Al Ain clashed during a match in Abu Dhabi. The UAE Football Association has also directed that the next four matches of the Al Ain and Al Wahdah teams be played in closed venues. One member of al-Aini and two members of al-Wadha’s team have been suspended.

Al Wadh player Ismail Mathar has been banned from two matches and fined Rs 40 lakh for attacking his opponent. Kameel Ismail of the same team was banned from two matches for assaulting an opponent. A fine of 90,000 dirhams was also imposed.

Al Ain’s player Eric Jurgenz has been banned for three games for assaulting a security guard. He was fined 1.5 lakh dirhams. Al-Ain players Sufian Rahimi, Khalid Issa and Nasser al-Shukhaili have been fined 25,000 dirhams each for engaging in activities contrary to the spirit of sportsmanship. The video of the beating was circulated on social media. The video shows the spectators rioting on the ground and the police intervening. Due to this kind of bad behavior of the spectators, the match was ordered to be played in closed venues.
