Beau Soleil, Roch Santé and Pôle santé de Gignac: new care in neurology

Published on

The Neurology teams of the Institut Mutualiste Montpellier – Beau Soleil, Roch

Health and the Gignac health center, members of the AÉSIO Santé group, are strengthening with

the arrival of Doctor Nicolas Gaillard. These different establishments offer

now a treatment for migraines and headaches, consultations after

transient ischemic attacks / cerebrovascular accident (TIA/CVA) as well as

initial diagnostic and therapeutic management and disease monitoring

epileptics in adults (from 15 years old) for eligible patients.

In addition to the general neurology liaison role for patients hospitalized at the Beau Soleil clinic, the unit offers public consultations and teleconsultations (via Doctolib or by telephone: 04.67.75.97.44 or by email: sec.neurologie@languedoc-mutualite .fr) as well as a day hospitalization (HDJ) of specialized neurology around three themes: 

  • Migraines and headaches (the syndrome of intracranial hypertension (HTIC) and intracranial hypotension, vascular algia of the face (AVF), reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome (SVCR), cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT), facial neuralgia, etc.): patients can also benefit from a preventive treatment of migraine by Botox injections for chronic cases that are resistant to conventional treatments. In 2023, we hope to be able to offer you a new C-GRP inhibitor monoclonal antibody by intravenous route managed in day hospitalization (> 4 migraines per month and resistance to >= 3 different disease-modifying treatments well carried out).
  • Post-stroke/AIT neurovascular pathologies: whether early (J2-J30) or late (>J30), after the occurrence of a stroke or suspicion of stroke/AIT, patients have the possibility of benefiting from a post stroke/AIT diagnostic consultation and specialized synthesis and if necessary a cervical and transcranial arterial echodoppler. A post-AIT/stroke day hospitalization called Filière Ambulatoire AIT/AVC Rapide (FAAR), integrated into the Chronic Diseases Unit of the Clinic and offering coordinated full multidisciplinary diagnostic and therapeutic management over half a day, can also be offered after the post-stroke consultation or directly at the request of a general practitioner or specialist in charge of the patient.
  • Epilepsy: diagnostic and therapeutic follow-up consultations as well as the performance of standard electroencephalograms (EEG), nap, and soon long-term (24-hour EEG during hospitalization, project 2023), are offered.

The Montpellier Mutualist Institute – Beau Soleil, Roch Santé and the Gignac Health Center are mutual establishments accessible to all, in this context all acts

medical and surgical are there dispensed in the cadre of the agreed rates et

reimbursed by Social Security (without excess fees).
