In a strange and seemingly unfamiliar incident, according to Egyptian and Arab news websites, a twenty-year-old bride was severely beaten by her groom hours after the wedding ceremony.
Local media said that a groom in one of Upper Egypt’s regions assaulted his bride on the wedding night, severely beating her, which led to her being moderately injured and losing consciousness, and she was transferred to the intensive care unit in a hospital for treatment.
Sources close to the groom revealed that the reason for his assault on the bride was his mother, who advised him to be firm and strict with his wife from the first night, so that she would be afraid of him and fear him for the rest of the days.
As soon as the newlyweds entered the bedroom, he slapped the bride hard on the face, and it was only possible for her to slap him harder than her, so the groom went crazy and beat her until she fainted.
After the bride recovered, she refused to return to her husband’s house and asked for a divorce. Despite the many reconciliation attempts and the pleas of her groom, who never regretted her and swore to love her that she was the dream of his life, she stuck to her decision and insisted on the divorce.
