In recent years, sports organizations at all levels in Beijing have actively participated in the preparations for the Winter Olympics, vigorously popularized and promoted ice and snow sports, cultivated high-level backbone talents, built a platform for events and activities, and become an important force for the success of the Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics. . The general body of the city, in conjunction with sports associations at all levels in the city, has stimulated the enthusiasm of Beijing citizens to participate in ice and snow sports by carrying out a variety of ice and snow activities, and these activities will continue in the post-Winter Olympics era.
In addition, during the Beijing Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics, various municipal sports associations sent a total of 226 referees, 60 staff, 107 volunteers, and 9 ambulance personnel to participate in the work of the games. While serving the Winter Olympics, it has also accumulated valuable experience for the development of ice and snow sports in Beijing in the post-Winter Olympics era.
In the initiative, the municipal body calls on all municipal sports organizations to: clarify functional positioning, continuously enhance service guarantee capabilities, improve scientific management level, and benefit more people from the Olympic achievements; innovate development models and make full use of Winter Olympic venues and human resources , actively explore new models of integration of sports and education, integration of sports and tourism, and integration of sports and medicine, hold national fitness events at a high level, strengthen technological empowerment, and promote the upgrading and expansion of online and offline events while doing a good job in epidemic prevention and control.
