MBC will start broadcasting the first match on the first day of the event by ski jumping. At 4 pm, with the combination of commentator Kang Chil-gu and caster Kim Jeong-geun, the ski jumping men’s normal hill individual preliminary round will begin. Although Korean athletes do not participate, viewers are very interested in ski jumping, the longest and farthest sport that relies solely on skis with their bare body.

In the evening, the representative short track race begins. The women’s 500m preliminaries, men’s 1000m preliminaries, and mixed relay events are held in succession, foreshadowing the success of the Korean national team. Korea’s short track track boasts the ‘world’s strongest’. In the women’s 500m, Choi Min-jung and Lee Yoo-bin competed, and in the men’s 1000m, Hwang Dae-heon, Park Jang-hyuk and Lee Jun-seo competed.
