The Belgian Grand Prix will be part of the Formula 1 World Championship calendar in 2023, according to what the championship promoter announced on the sidelines of this season’s race at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
A statement said: “Formula-1 can confirm that the Belgian Grand Prix will be on the “2023 calendar”, after an agreement to expand our partnership, more details will be announced about the “2023 calendar” in due course.
While the French race is absent from next year, the Belgian neighbor will be present, knowing that it has only been renewed for one copy.
As for the long-term future of the Belgian Grand Prix, discussions continue among officials, particularly over a possible alternation with other races in Europe.
The fate of the historic Monaco Prize remains in limbo, which has not yet been renewed but is expected to remain on the calendar.
The Italian Stefano Domenicali, CEO of “Formula-1”, explained that the championship wants to establish a kind of rotation that allows everyone to be part of the calendar.
